We went back in the field in nine Pennsylvania districts. Democrats gained in seven of them.
Democrats lead in both critical Republican-held State Senate seats, while SD-36 stays just out of reach.
Democrats have momentum in Pennsylvania heading into the final weeks of the campaign. Over the past week, State Navigate re-polled the nine state legislative districts we surveyed this summer and fall in Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Lancaster counties, re-interviewing many of the same voters. We also polled HD-145 in Upper Bucks for the first time. Democrats improved their position in seven of the nine districts we polled twice. Josh Shapiro leads Stacy Garrity in every district we polled, by between 7 and 30 points, and President Trump’s approval is underwater in all ten.
The State Senate decides whether Shapiro gets his trifecta, and there Democrats have slightly expanded their lead in both Republican-held seats we polled. Eileen Hartnett Albillar leads Frank Farry 49-46 in SD-6, up from a 1-point race this summer. Mark Pinsley leads Jarrett Coleman 49-46 in SD-16, up from a 1-point lead in September. SD-36 is the exception: Republican Tom Jones still leads Democratic incumbent James Malone, though his lead has narrowed from 3 points to 2, 49-47. If Jones flips the 36th, Democrats would still likely need to win SD-6, SD-16, and SD-24 to tie the chamber and let the Lieutenant Governor break ties.
