Will Josh Shapiro Get His Trifecta?

Josh Shapiro is on track to win re-election by a landslide. But will his coattails earn him a Democratic trifecta in Pennsylvania?

Will Josh Shapiro Get His Trifecta?

State Navigate Polls 5 State Legislative Races in Bucks County

Bucks County is one of the two most important bellwether counties in Pennsylvania, next to Erie. Thanks to State Navigate’s polling fund, we were able to poll PA SD-6 and the State House seats that are either entirely or partially inside it. The SD-6 poll is our largest-ever poll we’ve conducted: over 2,100 people took our survey.

SD-6 is one of the marquee races in the Pennsylvania State Senate this year, a chamber that Republicans have controlled since the 1990s that Governor Josh Shapiro is hoping he can flip to give him a trifecta ahead of a potential presidential run in 2028. It is the second most-likely district in the chamber to flip to Democrats, according to our upcoming state legislative forecast. Democrats need to likely flip three Republican-held State Senate seats in the chamber, assuming that they lose a Lancaster County-based State Senate seat that they won in a special election upset.

We’re hoping to conduct more polling in Pennsylvania during the Fall. You can find interactive maps of unweighted respondents, toplines/briefings, and crosstabs using the links below.
